Zilla Strikes Back by oshirockingham Zilla Strikes Back by oshirockingham
Godzilla head to head against Tuna-Eating Lizard or Zilla or AmeriGoji (Duh, too many nicknames), well when most fan prefer Godzilla, i like 1998 Godzilla (zilla) more :3 (the first time i saw that movie on theater i was still an elementary school kid and suddenly i fell in love with the 1998 Godzilla's design and story that makes me hope to see the sequel lol)
in the Godzilla: Final Wars (tm) movie scene, Godzilla kills the Zilla in about 11 seconds (Lol it breaks my heart). well... now it will be different when Godzilla smells like tuna, Zilla says.. It's Lunch Time! xD
i hope you like it and thanks for stopping by :)

I think Zilla would bite into Godzilla before he realizes that he's screwed.

I would actually enjoy seeing them fight together. Like fighting against SpaceGodzilla.

Yeah, Toho didn't let Zilla show his True Potnetial. He's Strong, Fast, Sneaky, and has a Fire Breath. So really, Zilla would be a Tough Opponent or Godzilla

Not really. Zilla has weak defenses because Emmerich wanted a 'fast Godzilla', he acts on instinct, and he only fights foes that are weaker than him if there is no loyalty that he is pledged towards.

That sounds impressive at first, but keep in mind that he fought a cyborg of himself not MechaGodzilla. Meaning that it was just about as weak as he was. I only say just about because Zilla still won the fight. I do like that incarnation of the character though.

I like both Godzilla and Zilla, Zilla's one big flaw is he wasn't the Godzilla people were expecting Still he's an 8 on my top 10official Kaiju, with number 2 under big G himself Zilla Jr. who combines his dad's awesome design and many of his abilities with those of the Showa and some of the Hesei version of Godzilla.

Totally agree there. It's too bad that without a sense of loyalty, he's a coward.

Well later versions are much braver than the original 1998 Zilla, every one from Zilla Jr onwards has been willing to fight. Although in one episode of Godzilla: The Series poor Junior was kidnapped and forced to fight against his will when all he wanted was to go home :( Humans are the real monsters at times.

Yeah. But that is literally because of his loyalty alone, kind of like a dog. And I remember that episode. Totally agree with you.

The only reason you favor that design is because you saw that film first. Fortunately, I grew up watching the original films, so I already knew what Godzilla was supposed to look like and how he was supposed to behave before I saw the 1998 film, and believe me, that wasn't Godzilla. Zilla is a pretty cool Kaiju in his own right, but he's no King of the Monsters. He looks almost nothing like him. As for that sequel your hoping for, it's never going to happen. Toho has the final say on who gets to make a Godzilla film, since he's their monster. They gave Emmerich and Sony permission to make the film, and they hated the results just as much (if not moreso) then the general public. Sony lost the rights to Godzilla in 2003, and Toho isn't going to give them back. They can't even make a film titled Zilla, as Toho got the rights to Emmerich's monster, too (hence his appearance in Godzilla: Final Wars). What you can expect is a sequel to the 2014 film. Toho liked what Legendary Pictures did with Godzilla, and I couldn't agree more. America has finally made a film worthy of the title Godzilla. Two sequels are planned, and the first will come out in June of 2018.

Personally, I think Zilla could work if they change it's backstory. For example, Zilla could be part of a project that involved like the UN making their own Kaijus as counter weapons by injecting Godzilla's DNA into certain animals, then exposing them to radiation. At first, they would see some, such as Zilla, would be deemed "unusable" due to their endurance(by kaiju standards), while those, while close to a typical kaiju's endurance, would most like be unstable. What they don't realize is that over time, some of them(again, the Jay Leno Iguana) would actually grow stronger as time goes on, even getting new abilities.

While I now strongly dislike the '98 film(grew up with it, until I saw Godzilla 2000), I can still say that it's design is badass(though the cg in the movie was crap), and well, I would like to see it actually used some time in the future, maybe with it's own adventures fighting against other Kaijus(so basically a reboot-ish retelling of the animated series as well as the terrible '98 film. No offense if you like it).

"maybe with it's own adventures fighting against other Kaijus"

watch this old anime series:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEueRx…

the 98 film is totally awesome, it's only the beginning of the godzilla that can breath green atomic fire that was intended in 2nd movie, after thew movie considered flop by angry gojira fans they make anime series instead in continuation of the movie's story.

I love all kaiju, but this creature (G'98 aka zilla) I hold very close to the various chemical impulses in my brain that allow me to process emotions because he was my first kaiju, and the reason I've become fascinated with the world of giant creatures (I eventually found giant robots fairly interesting thanks to Pacific Rim but that was at a much later date) and without that big lizard I would have never even known about the king himself nor his existence

Sometimes I wish that "the-one-they-call-Zilla" takes his revenge on the original Godzilla, once and for all, only to keep his honor.
When I saw the scene from Final Wars, I really felt disgusted.

i know, i felt that too when i first saw that final wars scene.
when i first saw the movie godzilla vs moth ra when i was kid, that was the time when i fell in love with that monster but when i saw final wars, suddenly i hate the japanese men behind that godzilla :) i expect a tough and long battle in that movie but i saw a shit scene instead xD i'm starting learn to draw from that time, just to draw 'godzilla' kicks godzilla's ass in any condition.
too bad my old sketchbook is gone, despite my drawing is still like shit that time, it was a kind of personal treasure :)

Zilla is a fine monster in his own right, but he just doesn't work as Godzilla. I don't like the movie, but I'm glad that you somebody enjoys it.
As for this fight: Not likely, if we're talking the movie versions of Zilla. Zilla couldn't survive being shot by missiles, Godzilla survived the Castle Bravo bomb at close range. Zilla couldn't hurt Godzilla if he wanted to. Zilla Jr. from Godzilla: The Series might have a fighting chance.
Did you see Godzilla (2014)?

well, if we're talking about 98 godzilla against godzilla, it makes no sense since the movies got different rule in their own universe. in my opinion, zilla should do his green atomic breath when he makes his appearance in Godzilla cause in Godzilla universe, special abilities is a common sight as well as Godzilla the series.
and the rule should apply when in another Godzilla 1998 sequel, they wanna makes an appearance of Gojira, Gojira should lose his abilities and become a more natural being. pardon me if i'm an overly logical person, sometimes this logical mind can't make me happy cause the more logical i'm thinking, the more complaints i made.

I think Godzilla 2014 vs Zilla Jr. would be an awesome battle. Godzilla shouldn't lose his special abilities. A Godzilla without atomic breath and indestructibility is like a Superman who can't lift things or a Batman who can't beat up dozens of thugs with his bare hands.
The chances of Godzilla (1998) sequel (other than the animated series) are nonexistent. Very few people want to go back to that film, and those who do don't have the power to make it happen. It's a tragedy for the movie's fans. Because of the way it was conceived, it belongs to a franchise that would as soon mock it as acknowledge its very existence.
